This is the “Season of Showing Compassion”
Think about this advert season –
Of a son given – Yes!
Look closely at the compassion of a father: Our Heavenly Father – God, the Creator, Everlasting Father… Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent.
He showed his compassion for all of mankind – for his creation that failed him.
God showed his compassion with a plan – to send Jesus to earth to redeem us back to himself – to cover our sin and save us !
Oh what love! Oh what compassion!
Jesus, in a conversation with Nicodemus, a religious leader in his day, said this:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved.’ (John 3:16-17, The Bible)
Let’s take a page from God and show compassion toward others (After all, we are his children).
Put your heart into everything you do.
You see, believers should strive for a purpose-filled life: Everything we do, should be to the glory of God.
Compassionately do kingdom work – serve God (serve others), worship God.
Have Vigor
Be Bold
Be Definite
Have compassion
This will help you: Daily ask God to give you a clean (pure) heart to serve him (in turn, serve others). Psalm 51: 9-12
