Young people need and want structure. From it, they feel accomplished and they’re not bored. Give them something to do this summer so that they can have structure, earn some money and gain valuable work experience.
The first step, especially if you live in the west Orange County area, is to take him or her/them to the Ocoee Summer Youth Job Fair on Saturday, May 11, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the West Oaks Mall.
At the Job Fair, sponsored for the second year in a row by Ocoee City Commissioner George Oliver III, young people ages 16 and up can meet potential employers and learn about open opportunities. Oliver, in a recent Facebook post, said employers are ready to hire on the spot.
