July 25, 2022, (Orange County) – Heads up parents, guardians, educators and school volunteers: Today, the State of Florida’s Back to School 2022 Sales Tax Holiday started and it continues through August 7.
The Department of Revenue has a list of what’s included and what’s not included in this tax exempt holiday on their website but here are some guidelines if you’re out shopping for your child or children heading back to school in August:
Save sales taxes on:
Clothing, footwear and some accessories $100 or less per item
Certain school supplies $50 or less per item
Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles $30 or less
Personal computer and some computer-related accessories with a sales price of $1,500 or less
