The entire family can participate in this benefit for the Jones High School Band’s trip to Carnegie Hall. Organizers are planning “Family Arts in the Park!” on Tuesday, January 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Lake Lorna Doone Park, 1519 W. Church St. in Orlando.
The event, presented by West Lakes Partnership, is free and will feature live performances from Jones’ choir and band, a deejay, face painting and fun outdoor games for children and a poetry contest with a cash prize later in the evening.
It’s free but they are accepting donations for JHS Tiger band members to go to Carnegie Hall.
