Everyone needs encouragement every now and then:
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:9 KJV, The Bible
“Be strong and of good courage” is repeated several times in this one passage…read the background in Joshua 1 and Joshua’s response as a new leader.
Yes, there are times we are weak, sometimes we feel defeated or inadequate…Whether we are new leaders or not. Life happens…to us all.
But the word of God encourages us to be strong, lifted up…God provides and He’s with us always:
“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. (Verse 6 of same chapter)
Even as God’s children, we need to be reminded, encouraged to keep going, to be courageous…in doing the work God has called us to do. We all have a purpose…gifts…talents…
“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.”
