  • Job Fair / West Orange County – A Job Fair is set for Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Silver Star Recreation Center. Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Job Fair is being sponsored by the Pine Hills Neighborhood Center for Families along with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc. and the rec center. Organizers are asking job seekers to come dressed in professional attire and to have resumes in hand. The rec center is located at 2801 N. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32818.   • Opportunity to become an Union Electrician – Interested in learning how to be an electrician? Apprenticeships are being offered at $14.50 per hour plus free healthcare and pension. There’s a tuition free program at Valencia College, with training for four years and 27 college credit hours obtained. Average graduate earns $65,000 – $100,00 a year, organizers say.  Students receive a National Certificate of Completion and can become an Union Electrician anywhere through the country.
