It’s an exciting time for Evans High School and community leaders plan to celebrate with staff members and students during a “Best of the Best Talent Show” on Friday, June 7 at the Pine Hills Performing Arts Center.
The show, starting at 6 p.m., is a family affair celebrating Evans High, which, this past school year, obtained a “B” state school grade, increased its enrollment and increased its graduation rate.
During the show, close to a dozen contestants will showcase their talents, vying for cash prizes and exposure that they may have never imagined. Judges from Walt Disney World’s American Idol show will be on hand for the “Best of” event and they will provide valuable feedback. Young people of various ages will compete in music, dance, spoken word and more. Other awards will be presented to some special Evans graduates, according to organizers.
The cost is $5 for children and $10 for adults. Proceeds will help the Evans Community School and Pine Hills Performing Arts Center.
