UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS
Fall Festival, Fall Sports at the Wayne Densch YMCA
The Wayne Densch YMCA (WDY) is celebrating its annual Fall Festival with a couple of twists: They themed the festival “Hero Night,” encouraging kids and their families to dress as their favorite hero for the festival on Wednesday, October 30.
That’s right. The community can come to the festival, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., dressed as their favorite hero while interacting with the people who daily protect and serve our neighborhoods – our local police and fire department heroes.
In addition to the “hero” theme, Y officials plan to do healthy treats utilizing fruits and vegetables like ants on a log for example. There may be some candy but they want to be as health conscious as possible. Business folks: If you are able to donate some fruit, contact WDY Executive Director Yolanda Pitchford at 407-299-4350.
The WDY is located at 870 N. Hastings St., Orlando, FL 32808.
