It’s Election Season; Voters Can Vote Now

It’s election season and voters have the opportunity to vote now.

Early voting in Florida has started and runs through Saturday, August 11 and requests for absentee ballots by mail runs through Wednesday, August 8.

This is for the next election in Florida, the Primary Election, on August 14. Here is where voters choose candidates within their political party.

Early voting hours in Orange County are from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Locations are printed the back of your absentee ballot and online at the Supervisor of Elections office website: www.orangecountyvotes.com But in west Orange County voters can go to the West Oaks Branch Library, 1821 E. Silver Star Road in Ocoee, to vote early.

Sample Ballots, mailed last week, lists who’s running for what office along with existing or new districts and/or polling places. If you have moved, contact the elections office, as soon as possible to update your address and find out what precinct you are in. The elections office main number is: (407) 836-8070.

Filling out your Sample Ballot and taking it with you when you vote will save you time and make the lines move faster.
