When I thought about quarterly themes for this year, I did not think long. It’s amazing how God places ideas in your mind and things just click! Good thing the Second Quarter Focus was on the family (We celebrated Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and all kinds of graduations.) For this Third Quarter, we will focus on business and work. One thing is for sure, we can do more together than apart. Support is so critical in urban communities, such as our main coverage area of west Orange County….It can only improve the economic development of our neighborhoods. At the same time, business owners offering the best of their products and services, along with good customer service, is also critical. Business owners: Consistency will have people talking about the products and services you offer. You will generate more business. So this quarter you will see stories on companies reaching back and supporting the communities in which they do business, special events sponsored by small businesses and profiles of unique businesses mostly in the OCN coverage area, but also throughout Central Florida. Also, we will focus on work ethic. So much can be said here. Let me just say this: Whatever you do to earn a living, do it to the best of your ability. Your customers or clients will take notice. The likely results: more referrals, increased revenues/better pay and more business connections. So smile. Hone your skills. Dress professionally. Be friendly. Let’s go! Support each other!
