As we know, local elections are just as important as state and national elections, because our local officials regulate most of what goes on right in our neighborhoods. Everything from law enforcement, road work, water restrictions and zoning issues are decided right here at home by the people we choose to represent us on our city and county commissions/boards.
If you live in Maitland, Edgewood or Ocoee and are registered to vote, remember to vote TODAY, Tuesday, March 12. Polls are open until 7 p.m.
If you don’t know what you are voting on or who the candidates are, go to your town’s website or the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office website: www.orangecountyvotes.com. There is link to each of those municipalities’ websites.
