Help to Improve Neighborhoods

March 7, 2024 (Ocoee, FL) — We’re on the dawn of Spring; What better way to spring clean than to do it with your neighbors to spruce up your community?

If you live in the City of Ocoee, here is even more incentive to improve your neighborhood: applications are now available for Ocoee Neighborhood Matching Grant Program. The program was created to assist residents in making improvements to their neighborhoods.

Residents, whether through their Homeowners Association (HOA) or a group of neighbors (if they don’t have a HOA), have until 5 p.m. on March 15 to apply for grant money up to $2000. There is a limited total amount available through the program and it’s a 50 percent grant. So if your community project for improvement is $4000, the city will pay out $2000 for that project.

The HOA or group of residents working on the project has to provide three quotes. Projects must be completed within six months.

A list of project categories, the application and other requirements are on the city’s website: http://www.ocoee.org and at City Hall, 1 North Bluford Avenue, Ocoee, FL 34761.
