Crowns, a play with music and dance, will be featured Sunday, October 11 at the Dr. Phillips Center in Downtown Orlando. (Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater)

The play, by Regina Taylor, is adapted from a book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. It weaves together a variety of stories from different characters (played by some of Central Florida’s renowed singers, dancers and actors), various time periods and perspectives.
