November 3, 2026 (Orange County, FL) – I am outdoing myself today! At this near final hour, around 5 p.m., I am posting some of my recommendations for today’s election.
Ok, Ok! Let’s agree, this is for the folks standing in line or heading to their polling place to vote. Polls are open until 7 p.m. today! So, if that is you who hasn’t voted, get there and you are welcome!
It’s a rare occasion. However, I’m doing this because this mid-term General Election is so important, especially for Florida, because registered voters will select (or hire) a NEW GOVERNOR, a NEW UNITED STATES SENATOR as well for Orange County, a NEW COUNTY MAYOR. Voters will also decide on amendments that can affect their pocketbooks today and, in the future. The level of public services they receive may also be affected.
The election today comes at a time when people are struggling, paying higher costs for gas, food, housing and online deliveries. Many blame the higher costs on the U.S. being in a war with Iran.
A little background for your consideration: I typically vote on the issues and attend or listen to candidates’ forums/debates. The goal is to hear how candidates answer questions. I also research their past voting record as well as their qualifications. I love fighters (against long held injustice) and candidates who have worked hard over the years in their communities. My recommendations are not for every single race.
Now to the recommendations!
