Orange County – Candidates have put their names and faces out there. You may have met some of them around town. Local city elections are on the horizon and if you want to participate in the process of electing the people whom you want to represent you and voicing your opinion on changes to how your government runs, make sure you are registered to vote.
Here’s of list of city elections being held in March and registration deadlines:
- Town of Eatonville for Mayor (Council Seat 1), Council Seat 2 and Council Seat 3. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, Feb. 6. ELECTION DAY: Saturday, March 7.
- City of Maitland for Council Seat 2. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, Feb. 9. ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, March 10. (Council Seat 4 has been filled by candidate Bill Randolph who qualified unopposed.)
- City of Apopka for Mayor and Council Seat 1, Council Seat 2, Special Election for Council Seat 4. And eight Charter Amendment questions. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, Feb. 9. ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, March 10.
- Town of Oakland for Commission Seat 4. And six Charter Amendment questions. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, Feb. 9. ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, March 10. (Commission Seat 1 has been filled by candidate Kris Keller who qualified unopposed and Commission Seat 3 has been filled by candidate Yumeko L. Motley who qualified unopposed.) Please note: the names of the candidates who were unopposed for their seat will NOT appear on your ballot. All of these local races are non-partisan.
